Flag Burning

God Bless America
Freedom of Speech. It is an interesting concept. I have heard we have it here in this country -- as long as you don't use it. Under W. Bush's reign of domestic terrorism, where fascism, big brother, and censorship are the order of the day, I considered that the American concept of liberty and democracy have become tarnished. In other words, the flag has become defiled, or dirty. As an Eagle Scout, I considered it my duty to respond in-kind, and according to established guidelines. Homelessness

The Downtrodden
In Huntsville, the impending move of the Downtown Rescue Mission has sparked a mean spirited and hate filled public debate. Some people apparently believe that some other people are less than human and must be relegated to an official caste without basic human rights, less dignity that a dirty wet dog, and nothing more nutritional to eat than "scooby snacks."

Homelessness is a national problem that is getting worse, not better, as family and individual economics have worsened, and the national attention has been focused on the war in Iraq. Some national figures suggest for the first time in two years the ranks of the homeless have diminished. I don't believe it. More likely, like the unemployed, many are no longer counted as they set up encampments that are closer to "home" than others. If there is any attrition, it most likely is the result of so many would-be job seekers being kept busy fighting in Iraq, and so many communities who are now cracking down of the illegal immigrant population.

In Huntsville, so called homeless advocates refuse to acknowledge the underlying problems instead attempting to brand all as malcontents in order to achieve a political agenda, usually sypathetic to illegal immigration, that would actually make homelessness worse.

It's time for a responsible national policy that recognizes and protects the legal rights of homeless people and that seeks to eradicate homelessness, not homeless people.

Deadbeat Moms
Deadbeat Moms, like Sarah Palin, are one of the major underlying factors of homelessness that advocates refuse to acknowledge.

Government Corruption

Conspiracy!
In November of 2006 Huntsville suffered a terrible local tragedy when a school bus careened off of an Interstate on-ramp and crashed to the ground thirty feet below.

I believe the Lee High School Bus crash was a very long term premeditated Al Quieda like event that was facilitated through "sleeper cell" methods and subsequently prescient third party gating on the highway itself.

This is a local example of a national problem with corruption in the legal system and government.
