ECONOMIC MELTDOWN Obama want's to buy everybody a new house with g'ment money. |
The deregulation of the banking industry is only part of the problem that caused the economic meltdown. Regulation to stop the loan sharking that was once illegal must be reinstated along with any other regulation to curb the greed evident on Wall Street. But it still misses the mark. The real underpinning of the American economy is energy.
As stated below, we absolutely must cut the cords on foreign energy dependence. It is crucial to our security, our independence, and our autonomy. If we don't, we will
continue to be at the mercy of other world markets that ultimately will seek to leverage their influence through that energy dependence. Cutting oil imports incrementally over
ten years to all but eliminate oil imports will hurt. Perhaps the only legitimate point made by W. in his eight year reign of domestic terrorism is that we are addicted to oil, more correctly stated as energy. As imports go down, gas prices will go up. As gas prices go up US citizens will have the incentive to seek more efficient vehicles, and fuel the demand for electric vehicles. The new demand for electric vehicles will create a new growth sector in the US economy creating jobs and income. As high efficiency batteries go into mass production their prices will drop making domestic solar and wind applications more cost effective. Although nuclear energy will continue to be an important component of the US energy plan, government subsidies and tax credits would best be spent growing the domestic solar and wind markets. (Coal is bad. There is no such thing as clean coal. Coal dependence must not expand and should also be curtailed and eliminated.) Once banking and energy control are stabilized the
Wall Street roller coaster will be stabilized and can be made to stay that way permanently.

McCain wants to buy everyone's house and rent them a room. |
ENERGY CRISIS Barack Obama wants everyone to learn to put air in their tires. |
Opec should not
be allowed to continue steering America's energy policy. A balance of tariffs and quotas should be initiated on foreign oil in order to sharply cut imports. Start by setting
a quota congruant with today's import. Then cut the quota by ten percent a year for ten years. I'm headed for Boone's farm. T. Boone Pickens wind farm that is. Wind
power and solar energy can be much more productive and not just in the "wind corridor" or the "sun belt." |
John McCain wants to deregulate everything so W's plutocratic buddies in the oil industry can make more money. |
HEALTH CARE Obama wants
to tax and spend in order to provide all children with socialized universtal health care. Presumably he will attempt to gain more control over children by
providing benefits for working moms like socialized daycare, extended work leave, breakfast, lunch and dinner at school, government indoctrination, and tax credits. Sarah Palin never had it so good. Joe the plumber, in the mean time, while paying for it all, probably won't be able to afford health care for himself, much less his family. |
The reality is
that the entire health care industry including doctors, pharmaceuticals, insurance, and their legal teams, is deeply, rampantly, and greedily corrupt. No health care
provision or reform or tax credit will be successful until more regulation, more oversight, and comprehensive enforcement and prosecution occur. Health care expense can be and should be slashed by 50% or more. |
John McCain wants to give people a tax cut to buy health insurance when they don't make enough money to pay enough taxes to get the credit to begin with.
No matter how you slice it, poor folks still won't have health care or insurance. In the mean time, additional deregulation could throw more people off the
health care rolls under the McCain plutocracy. |
VICE PRESIDENT You can pick
a white haired dude for vice president, but Joe Biden is still a bleeding heart liberal |
Andy Rooney is brilliantly
multi-lingual and amoung the best and the brightest and can solve virtually any world problem in less than three minutes. |
Sarah Palin is capable, assertive, intelligent, and knowledgeable. But still looses the debate because she has other personal responsibilities that
she is not attending too appropriately. Recognized by the American People as a sign of poor judgment. |
FOREIGN POLICY Wants to invite the
Russians over for snow cream. |
I can use Google Sky to see Russia, China, and Iraq. |
Can see Russia from her porch in Alaska. |
LIVESTOCK Says you can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig. |
A pig and a pit bull are about the same thing.
|
Says the only difference between a sockey mom and a pit bull is lipstick. |
TEENAGE PREGNANCY Families are off the table. (The broken black family, absentee fathers, skyrocketing minority teenage pregnancy, drop-outs, high incarceration rates. Off the table? I guess so,
they can't afford to buy food, much less a table to put it on.) |
It seems to be that 90% of the public dialogue is about families. As noted by Lynn Spears, mother of Britney and teenage mother Jamie Lynn, responsible parents can make a difference. If Sarah Palin
had spent more time with her family instead of trying to wear the pants at the Governors mansion, her daughter might have been encouraged to wait a while longer before
she became pregnant. |
Families are off the table. (John McCain, the moma's boy, can't bring himself to tell it like it is. Divorce rates have skyrocketed for white folks, school problems have increased for all, unemployment, poverty, and homelessness all have increased as extreme feminist liberals, like Sarah Palin, rush to leave their families behind as they endeavor to
crawl their way up the ivory tower.) |
