Government Corruption

The Queen Mum
Queen mum, queen B, or big sister -- it doesn't matter what you call the monarchy of Loretta Spencer's administration. While the camera accuses the public, is seems rather plain that the real criminal activity is going on inside the building, not out.

There seems to be little doubt left that the City of Huntsville and the municipal justice system suffer from deeply ingrained and long term systemic corruption. Evidence of that corruption can be seen in every sector of local government and into the county and state systems.

"Total collaboration" has come to mean cover-up and conspiracy for criminally motivated events. As mayor of Huntsville I will do everything in my power to weed out the individual elements who deliberately perpetuate that corruption.

It will be a difficult task and will require multifaceted approaches which will include personnel dismissals, departmental transfers, and personnel exchange programs with cities outside of Huntsville's influence -- and possibly legal indictments. Further, I will enlist the services of the FBI, ATF, and Homeland security, as well as other federal agencies where appropriate -- and also outside of Huntsville's sphere of influence -- to evaluate possible solutions for county and state level corruption where it is impacting the integrity of municipal government.

Working together in a spirit of unity is good for the progress and overall well being of our community. However, there are too many official conflicts of interest between government and self serving organizations within the City of Huntsville. As Mayor, I will form a task force to evaluate all such possible entanglements in order to facilitate a better working order between the City of Huntsville, the business community, and various community groups.

Allegations of corruption within the Military Industrial Complex are nothing new. The trouble is, that corruption can and does influence the integrity of business and culture overall. Huntsville is plenty big enough. Huntsville must reevaluate it's efforts to entice the favor of BRAC and instead look at ways to ensure integrity in the overall process.
